Tara Donovan .|. Toothpicks .|. 2004

Documentation of Tara Donovan's piece "Toothpicks," which was one of many rotating pieces that was shown between May 27 2009 and February 21 2011 when "the Centre Pompidou's collections [were] entirely given over to women artists from the 20th century to the present day." The vibrations of people talking and walking were causing the piece to disintegrate. Toothpicks littered the floor and only 5 people were simultaneously allowed in the room.
